Aloha Hawaii.....

It is official B and I are going to Hawaii at the end of August for 9 days. It doesn't seem real so I am not really super excited yet. I guess that is cause it is so far off. Courtesy of my dad we can afford this trip. It is the only real vacation besides going home for the holidays we are planning to have this year. My dad gave us his sky miles to fly for free and actually bumped them up to FIRST CLASS. That is the best part. The tickets are 1500 a piece and we never could afford that. We plan to stay with a close friend of mine from college that lives there. Her husband is a marine and stationed in Oahu. Our plan is for 2 or 3 nights to get a hotel room on the beach but we are working something out on that so it could be free or fairly cheap too. Either military rate or points. :)

All this free stuff means more money to save for the many things we plan to do while we are there. A luau, snorkeling, helicopter ride, fishing, hiking, going to other islands(courtesy of my friend's husband who just bought a boat) eating...The list goes on. It will be an awesome experience.
